Promoting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in 2021 - What's Different Now

Promoting Inclusion & Fighting Racism - a roundtable for trainers, marketers, HR and related professionals about moving forward.

These virtual roundtables bring together people who have a shared professional interest in creating a diverse and inclusive organization. The roundtable is going to provide you an opportunity to share diversity and inclusion initiatives that are underway at your organizations, communicate about challenges faced, addressing racial inequities within your organizations, and hear from your peers about what’s working and what isn’t.

This conversation is designed to be open and welcoming for all business professionals, including people who are not in HR nor focused on DEI at their organization. (Having a diverse community of voices to contribute their unique perspectives makes for a richer, more inclusive discussion on this important topic.)

If you’re concerned about how you can promote DEI and/or thinking about diversity and inclusion initiatives at your organization, we’re sure you’ll find these roundtables super interesting.

The Format

You'll have a chance to meet other business professionals in small group video conversations, discuss the challenges of navigating today’s COVID environment, and share and discuss ideas for workplace success.

How the VoiceVoice platform works.

About VoiceVoice

VoiceVoice is a new way to engage your audience by connecting like-minded people in guided, face to face, live video conversations, without you as the host needing to attend.

We use our technologies to produce unique, innovative virtual events and are hosting these virtual roundtables as part of our mission as a company: to light up the world with the power of purposeful, large scale conversations that drive positive change.

The roundtables are not designed to be a sales pitch. In full transparency, we’ve seen that participants on the new platform become prospective customers when/if they have a need to engage people virtually. So rather than sell the platform, we partner with inspiring organizations (such as HR Girlfriends on this DEI series) to produce conversations that connect communities and generate real value for and with the members of the community.

Frequently Asked Questions

We designed this conversation to be an ongoing series of live group video conversations, with each new group contributing their own unique ideas and voices to the greater discussion. We will take the notes and contributions from the many group conversations and synthesize the learnings and findings into a single, powerful document to share with everyone who participated. Where the conversation goes from there, we will look to the community for your input.
You'll meet (and speak with) other professionals in small group video conversations, surface the challenges emerging from this pandemic, and share and discuss ideas (including across groups) for alternative ways of moving towards common objectives in this crisis. You will be given a series of open-ended questions for your roundtable. There will be an Agenda & Notes available—a shared, editable document where you each add in your notes. Where the conversation leads will be up to your group.
These roundtable events do not require a moderator. Unlike in webinars or video chat meetings, with VoiceVoice, there’s no live presenter or facilitator, the conversation that participants have is guided and structured using pre-recorded content that we’ve created. Don’t be surprised if you see our Chief Girlfriend, Sana Rasul popping in to your group to say Hello.
We suggest blocking 1.5 hrs, people often want to stay and connect afterwards with the other thought leaders. If you can’t stay the full-time, come any way and contribute for as long as you can.
There is no cost to participate, it fits within our mission as a company and is a conversation we know people want/need to have right now. So there are currently no fees whatsoever.
We want this conversation to be inclusive, and so it’s designed to be open and welcoming for all business professionals, including people who are not in HR nor focused on DEI at their organization. We’ve found that convening professionals from across industries, experience levels and backgrounds makes for a much richer, more fulfilling conversation, especially when discussing diversity and inclusion.
We only ask that you (or attend who registers) fully participate and bring a thought or idea to share. You are welcome (and we encourage you) to share the conversation with your networks. Feel free to share the link to the registration page.
We are inviting business professionals from across industries, sectors and roles around the country to contribute. We cannot say who will be in attendance on any given date, but attendees in our other roundtable conversations have included leaders from a wide variety of industries- tech, government, consulting firms, etc.- and from the world’s largest brands, such as NIKE, Uber, American Cancer Society, Girl Scouts, Penguin Random House, Hewlett Packard, Kapor Center, among many others.
We are hosting this timely, important conversation because it speaks to our company’s mission — to light up the world with the power of purposeful, large scale conversations that drive positive change.
